Halloween at Signature Eye Care: Pumpkins, Candy, Creativity & a Little Friendly Competition!
Posted On October 9, 2026
October is one of our favorite months at Signature Eye Care! While we’re always focused on helping our patients see their best, Halloween gives us the perfect excuse to show off another side of our team: our creativity, our competitive spirit, and our love for having fun!
If you’ve visited our office during October, you’ve probably noticed that we don’t do Halloween halfway. Between the decorations, the candy, and our annual Pumpkin
Decorating Contest, there’s always something fun happening around here!
And if you’re wondering who’s behind much of our Halloween magic, we have one person to thank!
Meet the Man Behind the Halloween Magic: Rey De Los Santos!
Every office has that one person who takes holiday decorating to a whole new level. At Signature Eye Care, that person is our very own Chairside Technician, Rey De Los Santos!
Rey doesn’t just put out a few pumpkins and call it a day. He goes ALL OUT!
From spooky decorations to festive displays throughout the office, Rey loves transforming Signature Eye Care into a Halloween wonderland. His attention to detail, creativity, and enthusiasm make October extra special for both our team and our patients.
And let’s just say, when Rey gets into decorating mode, there’s no such thing as too much Halloween!
We love seeing his ideas come to life, and our patients get to enjoy the results all month long.
Take a peek at our behind-the-scenes photos below to see how our office transforms for Halloween!
Trick or Treat? At Signature Eye Care, It’s Treats All Month Long!
Who says you have to wait until October 31st for Halloween candy?
At Signature Eye Care, we believe Halloween treats should last the entire month!
Throughout October, we provide FREE candy for our patients to enjoy when they visit our office. Whether you’re here for your annual eye exam, picking up your new glasses, or stopping by for contact lenses, there’s a little something sweet waiting for you!
It’s just one of the ways we like to make visiting the eye doctor a little more fun.
And yes, our team might sneak a piece or two themselves. We call that quality control!
Let the Competition Begin: Our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!
One of our favorite Signature Eye Care Halloween traditions is our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!
Every year, our different departments put their creativity to the test, transforming ordinary pumpkins into extraordinary works of art.
The rules are simple: pumpkins must be decorated, not carved. But beyond that, creativity takes over!
This year, we have four teams competing for the ultimate Halloween bragging rights, and the entries are pretty impressive!
Team #1: Front Desk – Skull Candy Pumpkin
Our Front Desk Team brought a little spooky glamour to this year’s competition with their Skull Candy-inspired Pumpkin!
With oversized expressive eyes, dramatic makeup, dark hair, and delicate pink accessories, this pumpkin looks like it belongs in a collectible designer doll collection.
It’s cute, it’s mysterious, and it’s definitely got personality!
Who knew a pumpkin could look this fashionable?
Creative style: Gothic glam meets Halloween cuteness!
Team #2: Opticians – La Boo-Boo Pumpkin
Our Opticians decided to combine two things people love: adorable collectibles and Halloween!
Introducing La Boo-Boo!
This fuzzy little character features big eyes, a mischievous grin, and a festive pumpkin-themed display complete with fall leaves, glowing lights, and plenty of personality.
It’s the perfect combination of spooky and adorable.
And considering our Opticians spend their days helping patients find the perfect frames, it’s no surprise they have an eye for design!
Creative style: Cute, cuddly, and just a little creepy!
Team #3: Technicians – Halloween RV Park Pumpkin
Our Technicians clearly decided that one pumpkin wasn’t enough. They needed an entire Halloween vacation destination!
Their Halloween RV Park is a miniature campground filled with incredible details.
We’re talking a camper, a vintage truck, skeletons relaxing outdoors, tiny pumpkins, a picket fence, festive lighting, and even little campground decorations.
It’s practically a Halloween getaway in miniature form!
The amount of detail in this display is impressive, and there’s something new to discover every time you look at it.
Creative style: A spooky camping adventure with plenty of imagination!
Team #4: Doctors – Pickleball Superheroes
Our Doctors decided to bring a little humor and personality into the competition with their Pickleball-Themed Pumpkin Display!
Meet Dr. Nguyen, Optometrist, and Dr. Win, Pickleball Hero!
Their theme says it all:
“Saving Vision by Day, Smashing the Competition by Night!”
Complete with an optometrist outfit, superhero cape, pickleball accessories, and some seriously creative pumpkin personalities, this entry combines two of our favorite things: eye care and a little friendly competition.
Who says doctors can’t have a sense of humor?
Creative style: Superhero fun meets optometry and pickleball!
Behind the Scenes: It Takes Teamwork (and Probably a Lot of Hot Glue!)
One of the best parts of our Pumpkin Decorating Contest isn’t just seeing the finished pumpkins. It’s watching the creativity and teamwork that go into making them.
From brainstorming ideas and gathering supplies to painting, gluing, assembling, and adding those finishing touches, each department gets an opportunity to work together on something completely different from our everyday responsibilities.
And while we might get a little competitive, it’s all in good fun!
We love that this tradition gives everyone at Signature Eye Care a chance to show off their talents outside of the exam room and optical department.

More Than Just Eye Care – We’re a Family That Loves to Have Fun!
At Signature Eye Care, we take your vision seriously, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun along the way!
Traditions like our Halloween decorating and Pumpkin Decorating Contest remind us how lucky we are to work with such a creative, enthusiastic, and fun-loving group of people.
We want our patients to feel welcomed, comfortable, and part of our Signature Eye Care family every time they walk through our doors.
So, if you’re visiting us this October, take a moment to enjoy the decorations, grab some candy, check out the pumpkins, and say hello to our team!
And if you see Rey, be sure to compliment him on his Halloween decorating skills. Just don’t encourage him too much – we’re not sure we have room for any more decorations!
