Seeing Clearly: Contact Lens Tips from Our Optometrists

Hi everyone, and welcome! Today our optometrists are sharing their top contact lens tips to help you keep your eyes healthy, comfortable, and seeing their best. Whether you’re a long-time contact lens wearer or new to lenses, these quick reminders can make a big difference in protecting your vision.
Before we jump in, we want to share an important tip from Dr. Bolen, who couldn’t be with us on camera today. Her message is simple, but critical: don’t sleep in your contact lenses unless your eye doctor has specifically told you it’s safe. Sleeping in contacts increases your risk of eye infection by up to eight times. Corneal infections can be very serious and, in some cases, may even lead to permanent vision loss. If you ever notice symptoms like eye pain, redness, or discharge, be sure to schedule an eye exam right away.
Now, let’s hear more helpful tips from our doctors to keep your eyes healthy and your contacts working their best.
