Dr. Jennifer Thai

Optometrist

Dr. Jennifer Thai graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  She went on to complete her Doctorate at The University of Houston College of Optometry and worked in south Austin for five years before joining the Signature Eye Care team.  Dr. Thai is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.  She has a special interest in myopia control and is certified to fit corneal refractive therapy (CRT) and MiSight lenses to slow the progression of myopia (or nearsightedness).

Dr. Thai is originally from Sugar Land, Texas, a suburb of Houston.  Her love for Austin began during her undergraduate years, making it an easy decision to return as soon as she finished optometry school.  She balances a passion for organization with a love for culinary adventures.  In her free time, she enjoys testing out new macro-friendly recipes, checking out new restaurants with her husband Tim, or attempting to revive her rusty tennis skills.  Dr. Thai also enjoys traveling, with current bucket-list destinations including Banff, Japan, Maui, and Spain.

Dr. Thai feels very fortunate to work alongside her colleagues and staff at Signature Eye Care to provide patients with exceptional, personable eye care.  She finds fulfillment in tailoring spectacle designs and contact lens solutions to meet each patient’s unique lifestyle and visual demands. One of her favorite parts of optometry is building trusted relationships with patients while helping them see their best.
