Meet Melissa, an ABO Certified Optician with 10 years of experience in providing exceptional vision care. Originally from Colorado, she graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Genetics. Long, lonely hours spent hunched over a microscope in a dark lab, coupled with an extensive family history of vision issues, redirected her interest to the field of optometry, where she has been privileged to grow and learn in various roles.

Melissa has refined her optical skills by assisting in exams, performing ocular testing, providing pre- and post-operative care, and creating custom eyewear. Her passion lies in finding the perfect balance between clinical precision and personal style.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading most anything she can get her hands on, game nights with friends, and exploring the city. From murder mystery dinners to midnight roller skating, she loves all that Austin has to offer!
